πŸ“˜ review.- the littlest library by poppy alexander

Happy Tuesday and happy pub day to this delightful book!

I don’t know about you but my summer reading tastes have been all over the place. I’ve been diving into historical fiction with The Falcon’s Eyes, thriller with The House Across the Lake, and even spicy romance with It Happened One Summer. But this book. This book feels like pulling on a warm sweater after the sun goes down on a summer evening.

Okay, before I give away all my feelings about The Littlest Library go grab your cup of cozy and let’s jump in to the review!

πŸ”– it’s time for tag // the last book i….

Happy Tuesday my darlings!

My energy has been a little low lately and it’s been a few weeks since my last bookish tag, so I figured it was about time to pull this one out of the drafts folder!

I found this tag either at Howling LIbraries or Dinipanda Reads, two blogs that I absolutely adore!

Go grab your current cup of cozy (this month I am ALL about a Cookie Dough Freeze over at Dutch Bros) and let’s jump in!

πŸŽƒ review.- long live the pumpkin queen by shea ernshaw

Happy Tuesday and welcome back to the blog!

I hope you’re having a wonderful July so far! Let me know what you have planned this month down in the comments, I’d love to know!

Raise your hand if you’re overwhelmed by reading all of the fall vibe books in the middle of the summer? πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ In one way, it’s kind of nice because Phoenix summers are no joke and having some fall reads is definitely one way to cool off – but I also feel like I am missing out on the season!

Today, I am sharing my review of Long Live the Pumpkin Queen by Shea Ernshaw….ON IT’S ACTUAL RELEASE DATE! Are you shocked? Because I am. At least, this is the release date that Netgalley posted, I have seen conflicting dates on different retailers. So, go grab your current cup of cozy and let’s jump in to the review!

πŸ“ PATREON EXCLUSIVE // Hope*Writers July Writing Prompt Series

Happy July my darling patrons!

I was scrolling Instagram the other day as I waited for Theresa to fall asleep and Emily P. Freeman’s hope*writers group popped up in my feed. Apparently they send out a monthly list of writing prompts and were advertising their list for July.

I used to write all of the time. I did forum rpgs and wrote intricate stories and poems as a kid and even well into college. But, like many things, it fell to the wayside as I grew into being an adult with adult responsibilities. I miss it. I’ve never been a good journal writer, but I love the feeling of putting pen to paper  and letting my imagination take shape on the page. So I figured, why not try something new this month.

This is going to be a little hard for me, my goal is to post whatever comes to mind during these writing sessions. It’s hard to be vulnerable with my writing sometimes, but you’re also welcome to join me every day this month and you can share what you wrote in the comments or just chime in with “Done” to say you did your writing today.

πŸ“ You can grab the hope*writers list of prompts in your inbox HERE

Stay cozy,

🍁review.- the house across the lake by riley sager

Happy Tuesday and welcome back to the blog!

I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump for the last month and a half but I think I’m finally starting to come out of it. I’ve managed to finish a handful of titles in the last week – primarily graphic novels that I started AGES ago. I hope you’re doing well and that your coffee is strong whether you take it hot or iced this season.

I recently finished up the newest Riley Sager novel and this is my second book by the author and I have yet to be disappointed! So, go grab your current cup of cozy and let’s jump in to the review!

πŸ“š 2022 Midyear Freak Out Tag

Happy Tuesday!

It still amazes me that we’re in June. Like we’re halfway through the year already. Who allowed this? But you know, nothing says summer like an annual check in on all those reading goals that we set at the beginning of 2022.

So, for the fifth year in a row, I am back with the annual Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag! This bookish tag was originally created back in 2016 by Ely and Chami over on Booktube and is just a fun way to wrap-up the reading life from the first half of the year. I wasn’t tagged by anyone but you are of course more than welcome to join in and tag who ever you wish!

So, go grab your current cup of cozy and let’s jump in!
